-William and Pricilla Deku-
When WAMM began ministry in Ghana we were told we would never find a couple willing to be house parents for a children’s home—we would have to settle for just a house mom. This was disappointing to us and so we were thrilled when God showed that he had other things in mind.
We are so thankful for his provision of Rev. William and Priscilla Deku as ministry partners in Ghana. The Dekus are involved in the day-to-day operation of HOMe (House Of Mercy), WAMM's hospice and home for at-risk and special needs children. They, live with and care for the children at HOMe. The Dekus also have two children of their own, Makarios and Matthew. It has been a delight to watch them grow and mature in the environment of HOMe.
Not only are they wonderful house parents, but William has also become a very capable administrator not only for HOMe but also as the director of WAMM—Ghana, the NGO established by WAMM for operation in Ghana. William has developed a wonderful reputation and relationship with Ghana’s Department of Social Welfare. He is well known for his compassionate concern for abandoned and special needs children.
Please keep the Dekus in your prayers as they care for a large "family" of children with all kinds of special needs.
