-WAMM Guest House-
Ever since we moved to Ghana in 2007, God has provided us a home that has allowed us to host people who want to see the ministry of WAMM in person. Whereas our children home is called House Of Mercy (HOMe), I like to refer to our house as a House 4 Mercy (H4Me).
We believe the best way for people to get to know what God is doing in Ghana is to see it first-hand. And we understand that there is diversity within the family of God. Some of you are taking your first steps in your walk with Jesus. Some have been Christians for most of your lives. Some are strong in your faith and looking to take radical steps to become even more like Jesus. Some may have faltered along the way and are in the process of getting back on your feet. Some may be wandering away from Christ. And some may have not yet come to know him at all. We want to help all kinds of people draw near or nearer to Jesus no matter where you find yourself. God has continually provided us with accommodations that can be used as a guest house useful as a jumping off point for ministry adventures as well as a retreat from cultural overload if that is needed.
Our current home is an easy walk from the children’s home and a beautiful 45-minute drive through the mountains to Nsawam, the home of Hope Community Baptist Church, our initial church plant (don’t worry the road is paved). It allows people to interact with the children at HOMe and to visit HCBC on Sunday morning or throughout the week.
It is my prayer that God will continue to provide us a home to us for this purpose, because I love to watch new people get a glimpse of the love of God at work. So, we invite you to come and stay with us. We’d love to introduce you to the people God has blessed us to work with and to give you an opportunity to see how God is extending his mercy through them to those in need.
As one guest recently indicated, if you come for a visit, you will never be the same.
